The Grafton Historical Society hosts author Ann Davidson who tells the story of Monique LeBlanc, a young woman visiting Grand Pre Park, Nova Scotia. One evening she has a chance meeting with a ghostly Acadian priest who ushers her back to 1755 during the French and Indian War, the historical period where Acadian farmers were caught in the middle of turmoil. Colonial leaders made decisions to rid the area of French-speaking Catholics by destroying their farms and replacing the farmers with Protestant settlers. They forced thousands of people onboard ships headed for New England.
Snow date: Sunday, March 19.
