Celebrate National Trails Day – Explore the Blackstone River Greenway and Millville Lock Trail
June 1 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us to celebrate National Trails Day as we honor a very special volunteer, Dave Barber, who leaves behind legacy of trail advocacy.
Bring your bicycle and helmet and join us for a ride along the 3.7 mile Blackstone River Greenway from Blackstone, MA, to Uxbridge, MA. On the return trip, we will stop at the Millville parking lot (44 Hope Street, Millville, MA) for refreshments and remembrance of Dave and the projects he inspired along the Greenway. From there, at 1:00 p.m., either walk or bike to the Millville Lock trail for historic interpretation of the Millville Lock site with canal enthusiast Val Stegemoen. Following the stop at the lock, we will ride back to the parking lot in Blackstone, MA. The distance round trip on the bike is just over 7.5 miles.
Rain date is Sunday, June 2. RSVP by May 30 by calling Suzanne Buchanan at 508-234-4242 or email sbuchanan@BlackstoneHeritageCorridor.org.
