Maple Sugaring Weekend
It’s that sweet time of year again! Join us at River Bend Farm on February 22nd and 23rd for Mass DCR’s annual Maple Sugaring Weekend. Guided tours will be offered at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m., and last about 90 minutes.
Park staff and our volunteers will take visitors through the art and science of producing maple syrup including identifying maple trees, tapping trees, gathering sap, and watching syrup being made at the sugar house. Children’s activities include a craft and a Junior Ranger activity.
The program is free but space is limited. Preregistration is recommended at https://www.eventbrite.com/…/blackstone-maple-sugaring…. Walk-ins will be accepted.
Tours include outdoor elements. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. The program will run rain, snow, or shine, but may be modified depending on the weather. For the most up-to-date programming information, call (508) 278-7604.
