Rain Garden Planting – Volunteer Day
July 26 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Do you love gardening? We are looking for people to attend this volunteer day and help plant a rain garden at the Blackstone Heritage Corridor Visitor Center in Worcester! Many hands are needed to help convert two bioretention swales into rain gardens with an assortment of carefully chosen native plants. These plants will both help manage stormwater runoff and provide habitat for pollinators and birds. Volunteers are needed to help spread compost, plant and spread mulch.
Full-day and half-day volunteer shifts are available. Assorted tools are also needed.
To RSVP and for more info, contact Bonnie Combs at bcombs@BlackstoneHeritageCorridor.org or call 508-234-4242.
