Riverbend East Songwriters Festival 2024
The 2024 River Bend East Songwriters Festival will occur over Labor Day weekend Friday, August 30th through Saturday, August 31st outside at Old Slater Mill National Historic Landmark, 67 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02860, along the banks of the beautiful Blackstone River!
The festival will “kick off” Friday evening with a multi-media event and continue on Saturday afternoon with our traditional showcase of the region’s best singer-songwriters! Free admission for both events and fun for the whole family!!
Friday Night Event:
The headline feature will include a performance by popular Americana band, Jeff Byrd and Dirty Finch! David Lawlor of Run of the Mill will provide an artful visual display highlighting mill preservation and labor history while Jeff Byrd & Dirty Finch perform! J. Michael Graham will debut a short music video collaboration with David Lawlor, and Chris Monti will welcome visitors with an opening set of West African infused folk music.

*National Park Service rangers will provide free specialty tours and activities all weekend long in honor of Rhode Island’s rich labor history. Tours will be held at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Thursday-Sunday.
*Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame musician, Mark Cutler will lead a free songwriting workshop at Slater Mill at 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 29th at 6:30 PM at Slater Mill. Participants will write a song with Mark and are invited to perform with him at the festival on Saturday! Free admission and all ages and abilities invited!!
