Worcester Citizen Scientists Program

June 15 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Citizen Scientists

The Worcester Cyanobacteria Monitoring Collaborative will be here analyzing water quality samples this summer on recurring Saturdays. Citizen scientists will collect water samples at Worcester lakes and will examined them under microscopes at the Blackstone Heritage Corridor Visitor Center. The group will do this monthly through the fall in order to better understand plankton dynamics and lake health.
Check out some of the things we’ll find! (Don’t worry, it’s all natural!)

Interested in getting involved? Contact the Lakes and Ponds Program at dpw@worcesterma.gov.

Pre-registration is required.
