Join NPS Ranger Mark Mello for a Blackstone Canal walk,  where he will discuss its building, operation, and demise.  The tour will last about 45 minutes, with time for questions after. Bring sturdy footwear and water, and be prepared to walk about a half of a mile.

Join NPS Ranger Steven Brown at the Kelly House for a nature walk along the Blackstone River.  Ranger Brown will talk about the native species that have returned to the river valley.  Look for turtles, deer, rabbits and snakes that are native to the area.  Ranger Brown will also discuss invasive species, why they are a problem, and what we can do to help native animals.

Pack your camera, comfy shoes, and a water bottle for this photography walk at Blackstone River State Park.  You will be able to shoot the Captain Wilbur Kelley House, Ashton Mill, the beautiful Blackstone River and canal path, and the Viaduct Bridge.  Pre-register at BHCphotographers@gmail.com.

National Bike Your Park Day with National Park Service Ranger

National Bike Your Park Day

Join a NPS ranger for a farm-to-farm bike ride to celebrate National Bike Your Park Day.  This trip features a short ride along the Blackstone River Bikeway that connect two former Londsdale Company Farms.  The ride will start at the Capt. Wilbur Kelly House Museum of Transportation and traverse the bikeway to the site of the old Lonsdale Drive-In. Riders will then return to the Kelly House. Approximately 7 miles, round trip. Helmets required.
