Walking Tour: Hotchkiss Cemetery

Walking Tour –- Hotchkiss Cemetery NS36 – located on Smithfield Rd in North Smithfield, RI. For the first time since Hotchkiss Cemetery was re-discovered, cleaned, and repaired, the public can take a one-hour guided walking tour with some of the volunteers who made it happen. Folks can learn about the lives of some of the oldest inhabitants of North Smithfield and Smithfield. Guides will explain the methods to repair the stones and reveal a few secrets of lost stones. Highlights will include Veteran graves from past wars, discovery of the old town tomb, and some sad stories from the past.
