CANCELED: BeWitched & BeDazzled: A Magical Fall Festival

This one-of-a-kind event set in the picturesque landscape of a former dairy farm that was the site of filming for Hocus Pocus2.  Taking place all on one day, BeWitched & BeDazzled weaves together the magic of fall and allure of all things Halloween, while bringing the community together in a family-friendly extravaganza filled with mesmerizing performances, interactive activities, artisans and vendors, psychics, costumes, food, and much more. The event has something of interest for all ages and boasts an impressive lineup of non-stop activities and performances. On the main stage, there will be lively music and dancing, theatrical performances, magic show, and songs by various recording artists. Featured on the grounds are hay rides, circus acts, roaming costumed characters and photo opportunities. A special line up is in store at the Land of Enchantment, with children’s entertainment and interactive activities, and a sensory area. Some 90 artisan and food vendors offer shopping opportunities to get started on holiday shopping. Since Halloween is around the corner, there will be contests for best costume. Also, a contest for artwork created onsite with the Plein Air Painting Competition. An exploration of history during the 17th century will include tales of those accused of witchcraft, displays and demonstrations of crafts that would have been seen in Salem at that time.

The venue is set along one of the oldest roadways in the country, Great Road, dating back to 1683. The Friends of Hearthside, a volunteer organization that is preserving history of several 19th-century sites here, is the organizer of the event, with proceeds to benefit the continued programming and restoration efforts to bring history to life.
