Massachusetts Cold Water Streams and the Fish that Live in Them
Metacomet Land Trust Welcomes Members and Public to Annual Meeting on June 21st at Uxbridge High School.
Our speaker will be Rebecca Colby, PhD, of MassWildlife, who will speak on “Massachusetts Cold Water Streams and the Fish that Live in Them.”
Metacomet Land Trust, a non-profit conservation organization, will hold its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 21 at 6:30 pm at the Uxbridge High School at 300 Quaker Highway in Uxbridge. All members are urged to attend. The business meeting will include consideration of amendments to the Articles of Incorporation and election of directors.
The annual business meeting will be followed by the free public program at 7pm. Come and learn more about our Cold Water Streams and the life they nourish, presented by Rebecca Colby, Aquatic Biologist for MassWildlife. Colby holds a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.
The program is open to the public and the high school is handicapped accessible.
A field component of the program will follow with Adam Kautza, Cold Water Fishery Resource Project Leader at MassWildlife, who will demonstrate how a fish survey is conducted. The survey will be done in Uxbridge at a stream on private property. This is also open to the public but space is limited.
